CH4S Methanethiol/Methyl Mercaptan Gas Detector – WatchGas

Where to Buy
SKU: MET-W-T1-MM Categories: ,

The WatchGas SST1 configured for CH4S ( Methanethiol/Methyl Mercaptan ) is a compact, rugged single-gas detector purpose-built for continuous personal monitoring of this toxic gas, measuring 0–100 ppm with a fine 0.01 ppm resolution and a fast sub-10-second T90 response time. It comes pre-set with low and high alarms at 2 ppm and 5 ppm respectively, alongside STEL (1 ppm) and TWA (0.5 ppm) exposure limits to help protect workers against both acute and cumulative exposure. Housed in an IP65/68-rated, replaceable-battery and replaceable-sensor design, it’s built for demanding industrial environments where reliable, long-term CH4S ( Methanethiol/Methyl Mercaptan ) detection is critical.

Key Features:

  • Dimensions: 83 x 49 x 20 mm (3.3 x 1.9 x 0.8 in)
  • Weight: 88 g (3.1 oz)
  • Alarm type: 95 dB audible alarm (industry-standard loudness at 30 cm) paired with visual alerts on the large LCD display, covering Low, High, STEL, and TWA alarm levels.
  • Detects/measures: CH4S gas, 0–100 ppm range, with STEL (1 ppm) and TWA (0.5 ppm) exposure tracking
  • Resolution: 0.01 ppm — fine-grained readout for precise low-level detection
  • Response time: T90 <10 seconds — near-instant reaction to gas exposure
  • Alarm setpoints: Low alarm at 2 ppm, High alarm at 5 ppm
  • Durability: IP65/68-rated housing, built for harsh industrial environments
  • Serviceability: Replaceable battery and replaceable sensor module, extending the unit’s usable life
  • Connectivity/management: NFC “tap and go” for fleet management, event logging (last 100 events), and configuration via the WatchGas Device Link App or SST Dock

Phase rotation meters for electricians and engineers in Australia

The Importance of Phase Rotation Meters

Phase rotation meters are crucial tools for electricians and engineers in Australia, ensuring the correct phase sequence in three-phase systems for safe and efficient operation. What is a Phase Rotation Meter? A phase rotation meter, also called a phase sequence indicator, determines the phase order (ABC or CBA) in a three-phase system. This is essential
